Job Description

As a Packer, you will be responsible for carefully loading customer equipment and materials into crates using hand trucks, pallet jacks, ladders, or ramps. You will also unload, prepare, and complete crate assembly using tools like hammers, nail guns, or drills. Additionally, you will fold, glue, tape, stitch, and assemble corrugated, foam, and plastic packaging components. Ensuring quality checks and cost savings by accurately assembling kits and maintaining a clean work area is essential. You will also report equipment defects and adhere to safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Pack customer equipment and materials into crates using hand trucks, pallet jacks, ladders, or ramps.

• Unload, prepare, and complete crate assembly using hammers, nail guns, or drills.

• Assist with additional crate assembly tasks as needed.

• Fold, glue, tape, stitch, and assemble corrugated, foam, and plastic packaging components.

• Perform quality checks for accuracy and return unused materials to stock.

• Address and report all equipment defects or maintenance needs.

• Follow all procedures and policies, ensuring equipment is known before use.

• Collaborate with team members to accomplish tasks safely in a fast-paced production environment.

Essential Skills

• 3-6 months prior packaging and/or assembly experience.

• Ability to operate pallet jacks and hand trucks.

• Spatial awareness and meticulous attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently or in teams with minimal supervision.

• Clear communication and understanding of written and verbal instructions.

• Strong attention to detail.

• English fluency in reading, writing, and communication.

• Basic computer skills for logging in/out with ID and potentially learning new software.

• Ability to read a tape measure in ¼ and ⅛ increments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

• Bilingualism in English and Spanish is a plus.

Shift starts at 5am Monday-Friday

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
