Licensed Mental Health Therapist (IIC) - Needed in Essex County Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare has immediate openings for Part‑time Licensed Therapists in Northern New Jersey to provide In‑Home and Center‑Based weekly therapeutic services for youth with mental health disorders. This role offers an excellent opportunity for passionate professionals to make a meaningful impact while working with a diverse population of children and adolescents with exceptional needs. Key Responsibilities Provide individual In‑home therapy, group therapy sessions, telehealth therapy, and outpatient center sessions. Perform bio‑psycho‑social assessments (training available). Provide coping and social skills training, anger management, and reduce risk behaviors such as self‑injurious behavior or physical aggression. Improve youth and caretaker decision‑making skills to manage in‑home behavioral challenges. Collaborate effectively and consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team and other professionals supporting the youth and family. Submit all required documentation and paperwork within designated time frames (intake, treatment plan, DAP notes, etc.). Attend monthly meetings and submit mandatory clinical documentation. Complete or be willing to train for bio‑psycho‑social assessments. Requirements Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Family Therapy, or related fields (e.g., LSW, LAC, LFT). Clinical mental health trauma counseling training. Some training or willingness to complete crisis intervention training. Post‑internship field experience working with youth with mental health disorders. Experience creating treatment plans, goals, progress notes, and initial assessments. Familiarity with counseling approaches such as CBT, REBT, Gestalt, DBT, and trauma response. Knowledge of DSM‑V assessment and diagnosis procedures. License registered with the NJ Marriage & Family Therapy Board (state reciprocity considered; must be within 25–30 minute commute to service areas). Minimum availability of 6–10 hours per week during after‑school hours (12:00–20:00). Weekend flexibility is a plus. Experience providing positive behavior supports. Experience working with children ages 3–20; experience with children with intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) is a plus. Valid driver’s license and registered vehicle. Pass a criminal background check, inclusive of fingerprinting. Submit resume, master’s degree copies, and NJ licensing or certification documents.
