Engineering Aide Sr.

Basic Qualifications Minimum 2 years of manufacturing assembly experience. Direct engineering/technician experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of cables, subassembly, and cabinet manufacturing including equipment, materials, and quality control methods. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies. Experience with crimpers, wire strippers, wire cutting equipment, and label equipment. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings including schematics and wire run lists. Responsibilities Analyzing and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. Identifying and implementing process improvements using tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies. Creating and maintaining comprehensive process documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures. Collaborating with cross‑functional teams, including production, quality, and maintenance, to ensure seamless implementation of process changes. Developing and maintaining detailed process documentation, including training materials. Conducting experiments and trials to validate process improvements and ensure compatibility with existing equipment and systems. Providing technical support and guidance to production staff, including training and mentoring as needed. Desired Skills Ability to walk up and down stairs, as well as stand for long periods of time, to access and troubleshoot equipment on the production floor. Physical ability to lift, bend, and stretch in order to perform equipment maintenance and repairs. Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. Associate’s degree in Engineering technology, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or a related field. Proficiency in CAD design tools, such as Creo or SolidWorks. Experience programming and troubleshooting cable harness equipment. Knowledge of industry‑specific regulations and standards, such as IPC‑A‑620, J‑STD‑001, and MIL‑STD‑130. Five years of experience assembling harness cables, subassemblies, or cabinet assemblies.
