Emergency Medical Technician-ParamedicGiaCare is now accepting applications for a full-time Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic to support military training operations at Joint Base San Antonio-Camp Bullis.The EMT-Paramedic will provide onsite medical support during physical training, field exercises, and other high-risk military training activities. The selected candidate will assess and treat injuries and illnesses, provide advanced life support care, and work alongside medical and human performance professionals to support the health and safety of military students.QualificationsMust be a U.S. citizenHigh school diploma or equivalentGraduate of an accredited NREMT paramedic programMinimum of one year of experience within the last two years as an EMT, NREMT, NRAEMT, or NRPCurrent National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians-Paramedic registration or current State of Texas paramedic-level registrationTactical Combat Casualty Care certificationBasic Life Support certification, or ability to obtain during the onboarding processAdvanced Cardiac Life Support certification, or ability to obtain during the onboarding processPediatric Advanced Life Support certification, or ability to obtain during the onboarding processAbility to work outdoors in extreme temperatures and changing weather conditionsAbility to walk and work across rough, rocky, or uneven terrainAbility to perform the physical duties associated with emergency response and patient movementDuties and ResponsibilitiesProvide EMT-Paramedic services throughout the supported training areaAssess injured or ill students and determine the appropriate course of treatmentProvide advanced life support care in accordance with applicable USAF and Army prehospital protocolsRespond to physical trauma, heat-related illness, cold-related injury, and other medical emergenciesConduct medical triage in coordination with tactical athletic coachesProvide medical coverage for physical training, field exercises, and high-risk training eventsStabilize patients and activate the emergency medical system when necessaryAdminister oxygen, intravenous therapy, dressings, and other appropriate emergency treatmentsMaintain accurate records of injuries, treatments, transports, rehabilitation, and medical releasesReview student medical records and assist with medical screening and clearanceProvide education regarding injury prevention and heat- and cold-related illnessesTeach Tactical Combat Casualty Care-Combat Lifesaver curriculum in accordance with applicable Department of Defense guidelinesInspect, clean, disinfect, and restock assigned medical vehicles, equipment, and suppliesScheduleFull-time, up to 40 hours per weekMonday through FridayDuty hours may vary based on training schedules and mission requirementsNo on-call requirementNo overtimeCompensation and Benefits$31.78 per hour11 paid federal holidaysPTO/Sick TimeMedical, dental, and vision insurance optionsAbout GiaCare:GiaCare, Inc. is a proud woman-owned business founded with a clear and unwavering mission: "To better the lives of our patients and caregivers through high-quality healthcare."We specialize in delivering comprehensive medical staffing solutions across the United States, with a core emphasis on serving the Department of Defense and other Federal Government agencies.
