Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Travel experience is required.

• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is required within the last 3 years.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Recent med/surg experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Charge nurse experience preferred. Telemetry experience preferred.

Required Credentials: You are required to pass a Basic Dysrhythmia/EKG exam during onboarding.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Cannot have worked at any CommonSpirit location within the last 12 months. Cannot apply to more than one job order on the same unit and shift at the facility.

Unit Details: Common patient population includes post-op, sepsis, pneumonia, COPD, diabetes, and infection. Heparin drips only; no cardiac gtts. No telemetry on the home unit. No PCTs; resource RN support in addition to the charge RN. RT is assigned to the unit.

Shift & Scheduling: Self-scheduling, 4 weeks at a time. Weekend requirement: 3 weekend days per pay period (Saturday/Sunday). Holidays based on unit coverage. No call.

Floating Requirements: Floating to other med/surg/tele areas; travelers are first to float.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW : This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
