DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL

Responsibilities Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their safety and well-being Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, toileting Administer medication according to prescribed schedules and document any changes or concerns Assist with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met Provide companionship and engage individuals in meaningful activities Maintain a clean and organized environment for the individuals Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe environment for everyone Skills Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a similar caregiving role Knowledge of hospice care, assisted living, or related fields is a plus Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, their families, and other team members Ability to lift and transfer individuals using proper body mechanics and assistive devices as necessary Basic first aid knowledge and the ability to respond calmly in emergency situations (We will train) #J-18808-Ljbffr
