These roles will support high-volume contracting, complex negotiations, and compliance initiatives arising from expanded programs, policy initiatives, and operational reforms.This is a long-term engagement supporting a legal team operating at capacity and requires attorneys with strong public-sector procurement and transactional experience.Assignment DetailsPosition Type: Temporary / ContractNumber of Openings: MultipleAnticipated Duration: 6+ monthsWork Location: RemotePay Rate:1-7 years of post bar experience: $42.59/hr7+ years of post bar experience: $44.63/hrKey ResponsibilitiesAttorneys will be assigned to one or more of the following practice areas based on experience and business need:Draft, review, and negotiate a high volume of procurement-related agreementsSupport Requests for Bids and other competitive procurement processes with extended timelinesAdvise on food services, facilities, and related operational contractsSupport expansion of nonprofit vendor programsAddress vendor compliance and accountability requirementsManage and negotiate a growing portfolio of program-related contractsSupport expansion initiatives related to early childhood education and childcare programsAssist with negotiation and completion of substantial existing agreements tied to program growthSupport negotiation and execution of complex transportation system contractsAssist with contract extensions, emergency procurements, and approvalsCoordinate with external legal stakeholdersTrack and manage a large, active transportation contract portfolioQualificationsJ.D. and active New York bar admission in good standing (must have NY license)3+ years of experience in general procurement contracts, transportation contracts and/or service agreementsExperience in government or public-sector contracting, procurement, or commercial transactionsStrong drafting, negotiation, and issue-spotting skillsAbility to manage high-volume workflows with competing deadlinesExperience working collaboratively within large legal departments or government agencies preferredStrong technological experience required (Admission process includes general technology test)Additional InformationThis role supports critical public initiatives and requires attorneys who are adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment. xhyhwjd We need someone who is eager to learn, a team player and can see a project through to the end.
