Semi Trailer Mechanic

Main Job Responsibilities Diagnose and repair trailers including preventative maintenance, inspections, repair to air and hydraulic brakes, tires and electrical. Knowledge in adjusting and replacing brakes, fabrication, suspension, alignment and basic knowledge of air systems is a plus. Performs intermediate to advanced inspections, repairs, and replacements following company guidelines The position requires heavy lifting up to 80 lbs unassisted, attention to detail, and good communication skills for interaction with management, coworkers and customers. Basic knowledge and familiarity with air brake and ABS systems and repairs. Basic metal fabrication ability. Ability to perform similar repairs on various types and brands of the same components Required to follow all company policies and procedures pertaining to, safety, conduct, attendance, and cleanliness. Experience Required One year of semi-trailer repair or heavy equipment repair. Must have a minimum of basic hand tools. Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, bend, and lift up to 50lbs. (assistance with heavier items will be provided.) Ability to work from a platform up to 15 feet high. Must be able to work in all types of environment including, heat, cold Applicants are required to pass a pre‑employment drug screen.
