HR Assistant

This position assists with recruiting, onboarding, employee records, attendance, payroll and benefits administration, training documentation, employee communications, and general HR support. Bilingual English/Spanish is required. Prior Human Resources experience is preferred but not required . We are willing to train the right candidate who is organized, professional, dependable, and interested in developing their HR skills. Maintains employee records and ensures confidential information is properly handled. Assists with employee onboarding and offboarding. Conducts new hire orientation and assists with employee recognition programs. Assists with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring for open positions. Communicates with candidates, employees, supervisors, and staffing agencies. Answers routine employee HR questions and directs more complex matters to the HR Manager. Assists with attendance tracking and employee documentation. Assists with preparation and processing of exempt and non-exempt payroll. Assists with benefits, leave, training, safety, and other HR programs. Assists with disciplinary meetings, terminations, investigations, and related documentation as directed by the HR Manager. Provides English/Spanish communication assistance and routine verbal interpretation when needed. Performs other HR and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Bilingual English/Spanish required. High school diploma or GED required. College degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred but not required . Previous HR or administrative experience preferred but not required . Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionally handle sensitive employee matters. Basic computer skills and willingness to learn HR and payroll systems. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines. Bilingual Requirement The HR Assistant must be able to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish with employees, supervisors, candidates, and staffing agencies. This includes assisting with routine workplace communications and explaining basic HR information, policies, benefits, attendance requirements, and other employee-related information.
