About the Position

Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Evenings Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years in ER setting License: Current RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, TNCC Must-Have: - Minimum 2 years experience in an ER setting. - BLS, ACLS, PALS, ENPC, and TNCC certifications required. Description: The emergency room nurse is responsible for triaging and prioritizing patient care in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will provide emergent life-saving interventions and care for patients of all ages. Common equipment utilized includes computerized charting systems, cardiac monitors, and basic life-saving equipment. The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 4 patients to 1 nurse. Three 12-hour shifts are required each week, including every other weekend and holiday coverage. No floating to other units or departments is required. The unit consists of 15 beds. Dress code for nurses is Caribbean Blue. Orientation and training will be provided for the specific setting and charting system.
