As a Clinical Nurse Consultant, you will play a crucial role in providing expert clinical guidance and leadership to enhance patient care outcomes, promote staff development, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. **What you will do:*** Serve as a clinical expert in a specific area of nursing practice, providing guidance and support to nursing staff.* Collaborate with healthcare teams to assess and improve patient care protocols and practices.* Conduct educational sessions, workshops, and in-service training for nursing staff to enhance their clinical skills and knowledge.* Mentor and coach nurses to promote professional growth and excellence in patient care.* Participate in quality improvement initiatives, data analysis, and the development of evidence-based care protocols.* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.* Ensure adherence to hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and accreditation standards.* Provide guidance on compliance issues and assist in regulatory audits and inspections.* Advocate for the highest quality of care for patients and families.* Address patient and family concerns and assist in resolving any issues related to care.* Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in nursing practice.* Assist in the implementation of evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.* Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of education sessions, quality improvement initiatives, and compliance efforts.* Generate reports and data analysis to track progress and outcomes.**What you will need:*** Bachelors Degree Nursing Required Or* Masters Degree Nursing Preferred* 5+ Years of clinical nursing experience required - current inpatient medical /surgical, critical care strongly preferred* Registered Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license.
