Mangos Southern Kitchen & Bar is seeking a skilled and dependable Lead Chef to guide our kitchen team and deliver a consistently exceptional dining experience. This hands-on role oversees daily food preparation and service, ensuring every dish meets our standards for flavor, presentation, and quality.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading, training, and supporting kitchen staff during preparation and service.
- Maintaining consistent recipes, portion sizes, and plating standards.
- Coordinating kitchen workflow to ensure timely, organized service.
- Monitoring inventory, communicating ordering needs, and minimizing food waste.
- Maintaining a clean, organized kitchen and enforcing food safety and sanitation standards.
- Working closely with management and front-of-house staff to support daily dining and private events.
- Fostering a respectful, accountable, and collaborative kitchen environment.
The ideal candidate brings professional cooking experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a passion for Southern-inspired cuisine. Previous kitchen leadership experience and the ability to remain calm and organized during busy service are preferred.
