Position Overview

Inhospital Physicians is actively recruiting Emergency Medicine physicians for St. Marys Medical Center in Blue Springs, Missouri. This is a community-based Emergency Department offering a strong team environment, manageable patient volume, and the opportunity to practice high-quality medicine without the chaos of large academic centers.

Position Highlights

• 1099 independent contractor position
• 12-hour shifts

Clinical Environment

• ~54 patients per day
• Cath lab available

Common Case Types

• Cardiac conditions
• Sepsis
• Stroke
• Respiratory illness
• Gastrointestinal complaints

Staffing Model

• 1 Emergency Medicine physician on shift
• 2 APPs during the day
• 1 physician coverage overnight
• Admissions managed by the hospitalist team

Support & Resources

• EMR: Epic with Dragon dictation

Practice Environment

• Strong nursing and administrative support
• Efficient transfer system for subspecialty care when needed

Candidate Requirements

• Board Certified / Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM preferred)
• Will consider ABFM with 2+ years of Emergency Medicine experience or EM fellowship training
• Active or eligible for a Missouri medical license
• Comfortable with moderate acuity and transfer workflows
