Webber - Estimator - Heavy Civil

Job Overview Webber, a subsidiary of Ferrovial, is a leading construction company specialized in heavy civil, waterworks, energy and infrastructure management. We are hiring an Estimator to join our team in Houston, Texas. Responsibilities Analyze, prepare and review bids (including earthwork, utilities, mechanical piping, and amenities) for heavy civil projects. Maintain cost effectiveness of projects and track actual costs relative to bids throughout development. Consult with clients, vendors, and internal teams to discuss project scope, formulate strategies, and resolve cost‑related conflicts. Coordinate with engineers, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and cost estimate adjustments. Review plans, specifications, and bid documents for compliance with industry practices. Administer full‑cycle take‑offs and pricing, subcontractor coordination, bid preparation, and submittal. Maintain supplier directory using SmartBidNet software. Prepare sub‑bid analysis documents and electronic estimates for management. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field. Experience with all delivery methods (Hard Bid, CSP, CMAR, CMGC, Design Build) on large projects ($50M+). Proficiency in estimating software such as AutoCAD, Primavera, Timberline, WinEst. Moderate to high proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, Word. Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and collaborate during pre‑construction. Valid driver’s license for occasional travel.
