Title: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) / Medical Technologist (MT) / Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)
Location: Scottsbluff, Nebraska
Duration: 13 Weeks (High possibility of extension)
Schedule: Evening Shift | 4x10-Hour Shifts
Shift Hours: 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM (Subject to staffing fluctuations)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Sunday
Position Overview:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated Medical Laboratory Technician , Medical Technologist, or Clinical Laboratory Scientist to support laboratory operations and deliver accurate, high-quality diagnostic testing. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced hospital laboratory environment while contributing directly to patient care and treatment decisions.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform routine and complex laboratory testing according to established procedures
Analyze and interpret laboratory results accurately and efficiently
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instrumentation
Perform quality control procedures and maintain compliance with regulatory standards
Process and prepare patient specimens for testing
Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation
Communicate critical test results promptly to healthcare providers
Follow infection control, laboratory safety, and compliance guidelines
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to support patient care
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities
Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
Required Qualifications:
Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) through a recognized certifying agency or eligibility for registry
Ability to meet all CLIA ’88 personnel requirements
Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, specimen handling, and quality control
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a hospital-based clinical laboratory
Familiarity with Epic EMR
Experience in:
Hematology
Chemistry
Microbiology
Immunology
Blood Bank Testing
Additional Information:
