Title: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) / Medical Technologist (MT) / Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)

Location: Scottsbluff, Nebraska

Duration: 13 Weeks (High possibility of extension)

Schedule: Evening Shift | 4x10-Hour Shifts
Shift Hours: 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM (Subject to staffing fluctuations)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Weekend Requirement: Every Other Sunday

Position Overview:

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated Medical Laboratory Technician , Medical Technologist, or Clinical Laboratory Scientist to support laboratory operations and deliver accurate, high-quality diagnostic testing. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced hospital laboratory environment while contributing directly to patient care and treatment decisions.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and complex laboratory testing according to established procedures

• Analyze and interpret laboratory results accurately and efficiently

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and instrumentation

• Perform quality control procedures and maintain compliance with regulatory standards

• Process and prepare patient specimens for testing

• Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation

• Communicate critical test results promptly to healthcare providers

• Follow infection control, laboratory safety, and compliance guidelines

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare teams to support patient care

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education activities

• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality

Required Qualifications:

• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) through a recognized certifying agency or eligibility for registry

• Ability to meet all CLIA ’88 personnel requirements

• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, specimen handling, and quality control

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a hospital-based clinical laboratory

• Familiarity with Epic EMR

• Experience in:

  • Hematology

  • Chemistry

  • Microbiology

  • Immunology

  • Blood Bank Testing
