Location: Athens, Georgia 30606 — On-site
Pay: $61.59 per hour
Type: Contract | On-site
Department: Nuclear Medicine
Shift: 07:00 - 15:30, Monday to Friday, 8 Hours/5 Days, 40 Hours per week
Note: Non-local candidates only. Candidate must reside at least 60 miles from the facility.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic nuclear medicine imaging procedures in a hospital setting. The NMT will prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, operate gamma cameras and SPECT/CT equipment, and produce high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to established protocols
- Operate gamma cameras, SPECT, and SPECT/CT equipment
- Perform a full range of nuclear medicine studies including cardiac, bone, thyroid, and oncology imaging
- Ensure radiation safety compliance for patients, staff, and the environment
- Maintain accurate records of radiopharmaceutical receipt, use, and disposal
- Collaborate with nuclear medicine physicians and clinical staff
- ARRT certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) or NMTCB certification required
- Active state licensure or eligibility in Georgia
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of nuclear medicine clinical experience
- Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility — local candidates will not be considered
