Estimator

Overview Responsible for understanding, upholding, and promoting the Everus 4EVER Strategy. Employees | Value | Execution | Relationships Job Summary Provide estimates for assigned project(s) of medium size and complexity either directly or through subordinate personnel. Minimum Qualifications A working knowledge of electrical construction and theory at a level normally acquired through the completion of an electrical training program, two-year technical or business degree or related field; or Two-years\' experience as electrical estimator. Preferred Qualifications Experience in the electrical construction industry. Key Skills & Competencies Excellent human relations skills and ability to maintain confidentiality. Demonstrated conceptual estimates and financial analytical skills. Excellent oral and written communications skills. Job Responsibilities Perform takeoff and counts of drawings. Solicitation and review of vendor and subcontractor quotes. Formulate top sheet. Collect necessary pre-bid information including discussion of scope or project and schedule with general contractor and competitors bidding the project. Determine project type and estimating parameters required: labor rate, permit costs, material mark-up and tax adjustments for project location. Draft estimates on pricing sheets and collect other necessary proposal documents, such as scope letters. Assist Chief Estimator in final presentation of bid and sending out proposals. Participate in planning or bid transition meetings as required. Follow post bid closeout procedures. Perform additional duties as assigned. Other Requirements Required to maintain a valid driver\'s license depending on the project. Additional Information Background check, credit check, MVR and drug screen may be required (will vary by position).
