--- Project Description ---
Department of Labor's (DOL's) UISIm (Unemployment Insurance Service
Improvement) project.
The position is in support (testing) of the UISIm project, a multi-year
program effort to redesign, implement, and test business process
improvements for the Department of Labor's customers, partners and
internal staff. UISIm replaces the 40+ year old Unemployment Insurance
(UI) legacy computer systems and manual procedures with a new and
improved integrated computer system.


--- Day-to-Day Tasks ---
1. Design and develop the following test artifacts:
2. • Test Strategy document detailing how quality will be infused throughout
the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process
3. • Test Scenarios/Test Cases (business entities/objects and their
relationships)
4. • Traceability matrix outlining the correlation between the requirements
(functional & Non functional requirements), business rules, use cases,
batches, interfaces, correspondences, reports and corresponding test
scenarios, test cases.
5. • Functional Test Plan describing the who, what, where, how, and why each
business function will be tested
6. • User Acceptance Test plan detailing entrance and exit criteria; including
users in the process of decision-making re. testing specific business
scenarios
7. Specific activities include:
8. 1.Create simple to complext SQL queries to verify tables are correctly
populated
9. 2.Participates in meetings with Business Analysts, Developers, and
rchitects in understanding requirements
10. 3.Analyze Business and Technical requirements, identifying test
scenarios based on business process
11. 4.Create and Execute functional test cases
12. 5.Work with data management to acquire test data. Where required,
Identify the test data by executing the SQL queries or create the test data
through the application.
13. 6.Create automation scripts using Selenium.
14. 7.Review Release Notes with each build for accuracy and completeness
15. 8.Analyze test case failures; clearly and concisely report defects using
QMC designated testing tool set, which includes OpenText Application
Quality Management (formerly Microfocus/Client ALM/QC) JIRA, Selenium
nd SoapUI/PostMan.
16. 9.Create test execution summary report and communicate results to
manager and project team
17. 10.Coordinate all test artifacts in common test location in QMC
designated testing tool set for version control
18. 11.Re-test defects as assigned, following defect management process
19. 12.Validate each screen with web accessibility compliance tool for
merican Disabilities Act compliance
20. 13.Create and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium
framework
21. 14.Conduct automation testing and guide automation team members in
the automation of test cases using Selenium tool set.
22. 15.Create, maintain, and troubleshoot automation testing script, which
could be using knowledge of JAVA, SQL, Selenium language


--- Required Qualifications ---
• 60 months of experience as a lead tester, writing/executing/managing/creating
Test Scenarios/Test Cases, Traceability matrix, Functional Test Plan, User
cceptance Test plan using industry-standard management platforms (e.g. JIRA,
Client ALM/QC, or OpenText ALM)
• 60 months of experience in designing, building, and maintaining Page Object
Model (POM) or hybrid test automation frameworks, Selenium WebDriver, Java,
J2EE, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, Eclipse IDE
• 60 months of experience writing complex SQL queries to validate correct back-
end data processing and creating test data
• 48 months of experience using GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, and familiar with CI/CD
processes
• 48 months of experience testing web services in a SOA environment including
functional and performance testing using Jmeter/SoapUI/PostMan.
• 24 months of experience performing Web Accessibility validation testing in
compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA/American Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines using
utomated tools (e.g., xe Dev tools, WAVE) AND screen reader software.
