Substance Abuse Clinician

RevCore Recovery Center is New York City’s premier center for behavioral health and substance use treatment, providing compassionate, comprehensive outpatient care to individuals seeking recovery, stability, and long‑term wellness. We are currently seeking a Full‑Time Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join our OASAS Part 822 outpatient program. The ideal candidate will be passionate about recovery, clinically responsible, documentation-focused, and comfortable providing person‑centered services in a structured outpatient treatment setting. Responsibilities Conducting individual counseling sessions Facilitating group counseling and psychoeducational groups Completing assessments, treatment plans, treatment plan reviews, progress notes, safety planning, discharge planning, and other required clinical documentation Providing services that support relapse prevention, recovery planning, coping skills, harm reduction, and ongoing engagement in care Coordinating care with internal clinical staff, medical/psychiatric providers, peer staff, case management, and outside providers when clinically appropriate Maintaining accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in the electronic medical record Participating in supervision, case conferences, utilization review, audits, and quality assurance activities Ensuring services are clinically appropriate, person‑centered, medically necessary, and consistent with OASAS Part 822 outpatient program standards Required Qualifications CASAC, CASAC‑T, CASAC‑P Experience providing counseling or clinical services to individuals with substance use disorders Strong understanding of treatment planning, progress notes, discharge planning, and clinical documentation requirements Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team Strong communication, organization, and time‑management skills Commitment to ethical, respectful, trauma‑informed, and nonjudgmental care Preferred Qualifications Prior experience working in an OASAS Part 822 outpatient program Experience with group facilitation Familiarity with APG/Medicaid documentation standards and medical necessity Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who is clinically strong, reliable, compassionate, and ready to support patients through the recovery process.
