Job Summary The Academy Charter School Security Guard Protects school property and insures safety of pupils and staff by providing adult supervision inside and outside of the school. Requirements
Salary Description
$18.00/hr.- $ 21.50/hr.
- Patrol hallways, main entrances and recreation areas and occasionally provides supervision as needed
- Provide supervision for bus areas during arrival and dismissal times
- Check perimeter to ensure no unauthorized access into school is available to outsiders, doors are locked and to become aware of any potentially harmful activity occurring
- Check the functioning of security system
- Check first floor restrooms
- Provide direction to visitors at main entrance- check to see that visitors have signed
- Control building access and respond to alarms
- Alert Administrators of problems arising from congestion or other sources
- Responsible for the safety and welfare of all students during admission and dismissal
- Interact with students, parents and colleagues in a professional, positive and inspiring manner
- Other tasks as assigned

Requirements
- High School Diploma required
- NYS Security Guard License required
- Previous security guard experience, preferably in an school environment
- Strong written, grammatical and communication skills
