Registered Nurse – Oncology

Schedule: Day 3x12-Hour (06:45 - 19:15)

Assignment Details: Guaranteed Hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks.

Requirements:

• 2 Years Oncology Experience Required.
• BLS Certification required.
• IV Therapy/Infusions competence.
• Experience in handling oncologic emergencies.
• Ability to perform various patient care skills including but not limited to, pain management, telemetry interpretation, and post-surgical care.
• Regular floating may be required between departments, units and facilities.
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility.
• Pending license accepted.
• RTO restrictions: No more than 7 days.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care for patients in various phases of cancer treatment.
• Administer chemotherapy and manage associated side effects.
• Monitor and assess patient symptoms, adjusting care as needed.
• Support patients and families with psychosocial care and education.
• Ensure adherence to safety and care protocols for oncology patients.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to enhance patient care.
