This position may be based in our Minneapolis, MN; Green Bay, WI; Peoria, IL; Cedar Rapids, IA; or Milwaukee, WI locations, with the flexibility to work in a hybrid arrangement. We are looking for someone who is eager to gain hands-on experience in the solid waste industry, pursue continuous learning, and contribute meaningfully to the success of our clients and projects.Primary Responsibilities:Provide hands-on technical engineering for solid waste facilitiesUtilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce plan sets for permitting and constructionPrepare permit submittals to regulatory agenciesDocument construction quality on landfill projects (some travel required – up to 20%)Assist in preparing regulatory compliance plans and reportsPrepare sampling plans and collect field sampling data (soil, groundwater, and air)Analyze and interpret dataPrepare engineer cost estimates and complete cost benefit economic analysisRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or Environmental Engineering, or related degree2 years of engineering experienceExperience preparing technical reports and memosEngineer-in-Training designation (or ability obtain within one year)Preferred Qualifications:Experience with an environmental consulting firmExperience with Construction Quality Assurance40-hour Hazwoper certificationExperience with AutoCAD Civil 3DExperience in the Solid Waste industry$75,000 - $95,000 a year The base compensation range for this position is included in this job posting. Actual compensation will vary based on factors such as relevant experience, geographic location, scope and level of responsibility, and applicable licenses or certifications. In addition to base compensation, eligible members may participate in Foth's Earned Performance Incentive program and may receive other discretionary bonuses, including On-the-Spot recognition awards. Exempt members may also be eligible for quarterly and/or annual incentive opportunities, where applicable.
