Shift: Monday-Friday, 8-hour days, 7:30 AM 3:30 PM

Hours/Week: 40 hours

Licenses/Certifications: NY License, BLS, AHA or RQI certification, Epic experience, Board Certified

Experience: Previous APP experience in pre-anesthesia or pre-operative setting

What You'll Do

• Conduct pre-operative evaluations and optimize patient readiness for upcoming surgeries
• Review patient histories, health assessments, and relevant documentation
• Utilize facility's protocols for patient assessments and data collection
• Coordinate referrals and communicate care plans with surgical teams
• Assist with chart review and data entry using Epic electronic health record system
• Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams across specialties like Orthopedics, General Surgery, and Urology
• Support outpatient, non-procedure-based patient assessment activities

What You Need

• Active NY license
• BLS certification
• Epic experience
• Board certification in your specialty
• Proven experience in pre-operative or anesthesia care
• Ability to perform chart reviews, assessments, and coordination of care

• Previous experience working in outpatient surgical settings
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

About the Assignment This position involves providing pre-anesthesia testing and evaluation services in an outpatient setting. You'll primarily be responsible for chart review, patient assessment, and coordination of care to ensure surgical patients are fully prepared for their procedures. No procedural skills are required; focus is on assessment and optimization.
