Lead Hardware Engineer

Salary: $88,000 - 128,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related science, engineering, or mathematics field and at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a masters degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• We require the ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance within a reasonable time and eligibility for access to classified information. U.S. citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.
• We seek R&D experience and advanced proficiency in testing, troubleshooting, and analyzing circuit card schematics in networked, cyber-resilient environments.
• We seek demonstrated experience connecting electrical design with systems-level requirements and mechanical integration constraints on complex, multidisciplinary programs.
• We value experience leading a team of 5–7 engineers across concurrent electrical hardware projects, along with strong collaboration and communication skills and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Familiarity with hardware-related networking and cybersecurity principles, including encryption algorithms, secure boot, and trusted platform architectures, is preferred. Deep expertise in every area is not required.
• We value an interest in applying AI to continuous improvement and innovation.

• We expect you to guide multiple electrical subsystems and components from concept through final installation as part of a program introducing new capabilities into an existing system.
• You will lead architecture and requirements discussions, hardware component selection and design—including PCB, FPGA, and network infrastructure components—design verification, qualification testing, and integration across electrical, systems, and mechanical disciplines.
• You will help deliver secure, high-performance technical solutions using an iterative, risk-based approach while meeting schedule and budget constraints.
