Job Description

The Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans in accordance with the patient’s needs and physician direction. This role involves delegating and directing all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs that facilitate an effective return to community activities. The Physical Therapist serves as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers, performing additional professional duties associated with patient care and the development of therapy services.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address barriers to discharge.
• Manage individual, concurrent, and group treatment sessions based on patient needs.
• Document medical records clearly, concisely, and compliantly.
• Participate in student programs and provide supervision and evaluations.
• Maintain professional licensure in good standing and complete continuing education requirements.
• Actively seek opportunities for professional growth and development.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must hold a valid, current State license as a Physical Therapist.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant field.
• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.

Schedule

This position offers a Day shift schedule of 5x8.0 hours.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
