Massage TherapistThe massage therapist is responsible for consistently delivering results that contribute to the mission and overall success of Devil's Thumb Ranch. The massage therapist will provide all services (excluding facials and waxing) offered at the Ranch Creek Spa. This includes: massage therapy, couple's treatments, soaks, scrubs, body wraps, hand, foot and scalp treatments. Additionally, the massage therapist is expected to promote retail products related to services provided.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Maintain a professional standard for all services providedBe an active member of the spa team and communicate clearlyAvailable on call at pre-designated shift timesAbility to perform all treatments following the protocol guidelinesAdhere to spa policies and guidelinesAdhere to safety practicesBe able to provide a minimum of 4 services during a shiftBegin and end all treatments on timeAssess guest needs: inquire about contraindications, examine muscle tissue to evaluate condition, appearance, and appropriateness of scheduled service.Treatment rooms must be left neat, clean and sanitized after each service providedRestock supplies in treatment room and dispensaryComplete all side work in a timely mannerRestock laundry and tidy linens as directed by lead, supervisor or managerExtensive knowledge of products used in all treatmentsPromote sales of retail products related to services providedMaintain a professional image at all timesAdhere to spa uniform guidelinesParticipate in monthly spa meetings, spa training and team building exercisesBe knowledgeable of ranch wide operationPromote entire ranch to clientsAvailable weekends and holidaysThe employee is expected to be an ambassador for the ranch and promote its products and services within the community. The employee is not limited to the above responsibilities and may be required to perform other duties throughout the spa and ranch property.RequirementsPersonal Attributes: Friendly, positive attitude, personable, ability to multi-task, a good communicator (verbal and written), Able to work well as a team and work harmoniously with other spa team membersPhysical Demands: The employee must be able to sit or stand for 8 hours. Lifting up to 25lbs is required.Education/Experience: Must have completed massage training at an accredited program. Maintain personal massage liability insurance. Maintain State Licensure.Special Skills/Equipment: Must be able to use all equipment and tools necessary to provide services.Wage Range: $60 - $100 per treatment dependent on spa treatment or service and experience of therapist, plus gratuity.
