Senior Product Owner

Role Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Product Owner to lead delivery execution for complex digital products within an Agile, cross-functional environment. This role is responsible for translating product strategy into actionable work, ensuring alignment across stakeholders, and driving high-quality, timely delivery of customer and business value.

The Senior Product Owner operates as a key liaison between Product Management, Engineering, and business stakeholders, owning backlog execution, managing dependencies, and guiding teams through the development lifecycle. This individual will work with a high degree of autonomy and influence, balancing delivery precision with strategic alignment.

Key Responsibilities

• Backlog & Delivery Ownership
  • Own and manage the team backlog, ensuring alignment with product priorities and outcomes
  • Translate features into user stories with clear acceptance criteria, dependencies, risks, and success measures
  • Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, and prioritization
  • Manage in-sprint scope decisions and drive tradeoffs
  • Ensure on-time, high-quality delivery across sprints and releases
• Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner with Product Managers to align on roadmap execution
  • Collaborate with Engineering, QA, UX, and Platform on solution design and delivery
  • Serve as primary escalation point for delivery teams
  • Coordinate with other Product Owners to manage dependencies and alignment across teams
  • Influence stakeholders in a matrixed environment
• Customer & Business Alignment
  • Ensure delivery work supports business goals and customer needs
  • Incorporate voice of the customer through UX and research collaboration
  • Validate that features deliver measurable value
  • Support business case development and value tracking
• Technical & Risk Management
  • Provide input on solution design and technical tradeoffs
  • Maintain functional integrity of features
  • Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and constraints, including regulatory considerations
  • Support validation, governance, and release readiness
• Agile Leadership & Improvement
  • Lead Agile ceremonies and promote best practices
  • Participate in PI planning or scaled Agile activities
  • Drive continuous improvement in delivery and team processes
  • Mentor junior Product Owners as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in Product Owner or Agile delivery roles
• Experience with cross-functional Agile teams (Scrum or SAFe)
• Experience managing complex products or dependencies
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, or similar tools
• Experience in regulated environments and/or digital/CRM platforms preferred
