Vascular Surgeon

The Medical College of Georgia Department of Surgery at Augusta University is seeking a full-time Vascular Surgeon to join our faculty at the Assistant, Associate or Professor level.

The division is part of an academic general surgery program which includes a general surgery residency, clinical research program and a busy clinical practice at AU Health. AU Health is a tertiary care level 1 Trauma Center with a large multi-specialty practice. The practice has a fully integrated vascular lab and access to a state-of-the-art hybrid operating room and Cath Labs.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care, education and research in the field of Vascular Surgery. Provide clinical and call coverage as outlined by the Section Chief. As a Clinician-Educator, train students and residents. Maintain appropriate clinical records relating to patients treated to the extent required by applicable state and federal laws. Produce the appropriate number of RVU's for specialty and work effort. Participate in the educational programs of the Department, which includes teaching, service, training, preceptorship, mentoring, etc.

Required Qualifications

MD/DO degree; Qualified candidates should be board-certified in Vascular surgery with a minimum of 1-5 years of experience. Candidates must be board-certified in vascular surgery, and should have at least five years of clinical experience.

Shift/Salary/Benefits

This position is fiscal year based and works year-round. The intended work commitment or part-time equivalent (FTE) for this position is 1.0 and considered full-time. Assistant Professor - Salary and compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements. The salary is subject to availability of funds. Associate Professor - Salary and compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements. The salary is subject to availability of funds. Professor - Salary and compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements. The salary is subject to availability of funds.
