Job Summary Maintains, installs, and troubleshoots all aspects of electrical infrastructure in assigned facilities, ensuring efficient operation and extended equipment life. Operates, inspects, and maintains electrical equipment and systems, and documents all work in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS). Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities Demonstrate knowledge of electrical, instrumentation, and control building equipment and systems. Plan and layout work details for assembly, installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of electrical apparatus and control equipment in industrial power distribution systems. Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, upgrade, and install electrical/instrumentation equipment and systems. Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings. Interact with clients and maintenance staff to determine best approach to assignments in a safe, environmentally compliant manner. Safely use hand and shop power tools. Complete and document all work accurately and in real time in CMMS. Perform incidental or associated work required to complete the assignment. Work with minimal supervision and proactively communicate with manager. Maintain work area and equipment in a safe, efficient, and clean operating condition. Strictly adhere to all safety rules and regulations. Assist in performing other duties, including tasks of other trades as required. Physical Work Conditions Work in confined spaces such as closets, crawl spaces, attics, vaults, etc. Work on building roofs. Perform on‑call duties and overtime as required. Lift up to 80 lbs. Work from heights and climb, bend, lift, kneel, stoop, and work overhead. Work in adverse conditions, including extreme cold and extreme hot. Drive for long periods. Climb ladder with a 300‑lb weight limit while carrying a tool bag weighing approximately 20 lbs. Required Qualifications Valid state driver’s license. Electrician Journeyman's license or equivalent state license. Willingness to obtain any additional licenses required by local authorities. High school diploma or state equivalent. Minimum 4 years of electrical trade school or training, with 5+ years of electrical work experience. Knowledge of OSHA, NEC, NFPA standards and local codes. Strong team player, hard worker, with good interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written. Professional attitude and appearance. Physically able to operate hand tools, work on ladders, lift heavy loads, and operate a motor vehicle. Willingness and availability to travel within the United States up to 25% with notice. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of overall MEP system design and application. Experience managing work orders and using CMMS technology. Experience in a service‑related role for commercial and industrial facilities. Certifications in maintaining and servicing electric vehicle chargers, infrared scanning, solar power systems, and battery systems (solar/UPS). Experience with planned electrical shutdown maintenance at facilities. Experience working in critical environments such as data centers. Location: On‑site – Phoenix, AZ. Travel within the United States up to 25% as needed. This position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
