Overview Property Management Assistant is a role focused on supporting thriving communities by helping residents feel at home, keeping operations running smoothly, solving problems, and providing outstanding service. Avesta Housing seeks a dedicated Property Management Assistant to help manage a portfolio of affordable housing developments. In this essential role, you’ll assist with resident applications and re-certifications, manage contracts, and support daily office operations. You’ll communicate with residents, staff, and vendors, maintain confidential records, and help ensure compliance with housing regulations. Your work contributes to Avesta’s mission of creating and maintaining quality, affordable homes for people in need. Responsibilities Assist with resident applications and re-certifications Manage contracts and support daily office operations Communicate with residents, staff, and vendors Maintain confidential records Help ensure compliance with housing regulations Contribute to Avesta’s mission by supporting the quality of affordable housing Qualifications Excellent judgment Detail oriented Good communications skills Strong interpersonal and customer service skills High school diploma or equivalent Experience in working with multi-family housing preferred Ability to travel Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to provide excellent customer service to residents, staff, visitors, and vendors Experience assisting disadvantaged populations Strong math and analytical skills Ability to complete tasks on a timely basis Excellent analytical and negotiating skills Proficient in use of Microsoft Office products Work Location This position is based in the Greater Portland area and will require travel to a portfolio of properties throughout the area.
