Sr. Software Engineer, C# / .NET

Role Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Software Engineer to design, develop, maintain, and enhance software powering a modern network of digital jukeboxes and entertainment software. This role involves developing reliable desktop applications that manage music playback, payment processing, content delivery, remote device management, and communication with cloud services. The ideal candidate has strong experience with legacy .NET Framework applications while applying modern software engineering practices to improve scalability, performance, and maintainability.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly organized, security-minded, and comfortable supporting a broad range of technologies and users in a fast-paced environment.

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using C# and .NET.
• Enhance software that controls digital jukebox functionality, including music playback, user interaction, payment processing, and device management.
• Develop Windows desktop applications using WPF or WinForms.
• Develop and expand on an Automation testing framework.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and Windows Services that communicate with cloud-based systems.
• Integrate third-party hardware such as:
  • Touchscreens
  • Bill acceptors and coin mechanisms
  • Credit card readers
  • Audio devices
• Optimize application performance for systems operating in low-bandwidth or intermittent network environments.
• Develop and maintain SQL Server databases, stored procedures, and data access layers.
• Troubleshoot production issues across software, networking, and hardware integrations.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following SOLID principles and design patterns.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical mentoring.
• Collaborate with product managers, QA engineers, DevOps, and support teams to deliver high-quality releases.
• Assist with deployment automation, software updates, and remote diagnostics for field-installed jukeboxes.
• AI-assisted development tools and workflows.
• AI-enabled code review, debugging, and test automation practices.
• Prompt engineering concepts for software development productivity.

Qualifications

• Experience with .Net framework 4.8
• Experience with C++
• Experience with PowerShell
• Experience with 3rd party API implementations
• Experience with Visual Studio
• Experience with Customer facing applications
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field preferred. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
