The Accountant CPA or CMA will play a critical role in managing and maintaining the company's financial health through accurate reporting, budgeting, and reconciliation. This position demands a detail-oriented professional skilled in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel, with solid knowledge of GAAP standards. The role focuses on internal financial processes without involvement in external audits or travel requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Prepares, reviews, and interprets data for inclusion in financial reports, statements, and summaries.
• Reviews financial data for accuracy; identifies problems and supports day-to-day operations.
• Analyzes and maintains all accounts receivable accounts, refund accounts, and deposit accounts.
• Manage month-end closing; prepare journal entries.
• Monthly financial statements, including consolidation of multiple entities.
• Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Produce accurate and timely monthly financial statements.
• Reconcile and explain variances to monthly revenue projections by each branch.
• Prepare monthly commission reports.
• Fixed Assets and capital expenditure tracking.
• Weekly cash flow reporting; reviewing daily bank reconciliations.
• Oversee the annual insurance audits.
• Prepare minority business applications.
• Special projects to include business acquisitions.
• Daily cash management and reconciliation.
• Strong in AR collections.
• Monitor AR and file liens as appropriate.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with three+ year’s experience in medium businesses or accounting firms, with a strong background in AR/AP, financial and management reporting, and consolidations of multiple entities.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification or CMA certification - Required.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Proficient in financial reporting and account reconciliation.
• Experience with accounts payable and receivable.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills.
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Good interpersonal skills are required to operate in and maintain a team environment.
• Ability to solve problems with or without oral or written instructions.
• A high level of confidentiality and integrity is a must.
