Accounts Receivable Specialist

Location: Norfolk, VA 23502 (Onsite – 5 Days per Week)
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire

Job Description

We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Norfolk, VA. This is a fully onsite, contract-to-hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will have prior Accounts Receivable experience and be comfortable communicating with business clients regarding outstanding invoices, payment status, and account inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Contact business accounts regarding outstanding invoices and past-due balances.
• Handle inbound calls and emails related to account balances, payments, and billing inquiries.
• Follow up on outstanding receivables and payment commitments.
• Document all account activity, payment arrangements, disputes, and follow-up actions in MAM.
• Process payments and assist clients with payment-related questions.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues.
• Maintain accurate account records and ensure timely follow-up on outstanding balances.
• Complete assigned tasks and communicate unresolved account issues to the team.

Qualifications

• Accounts Receivable experience is required.
• Previous experience working with business-to-business (B2B) accounts is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with computers and accurate data entry.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional and customer-focused communication skills.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• Onsite (5 Days per Week)

Compensation

• $20.00 per hour
• Contract-to-Hire opportunity with potential for permanent employment based on performance and business needs.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Accounts Receivable experience.
• Ability to commute to Norfolk, VA 23502.
• Reliable transportation.
