Principal DevOps Engineer

Principal DevOps Engineer The role is for a Principal DevOps Engineer, who is passionate about automation, strong CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code and configuration management. As a DevOps infrastructure engineer, the resource will collaborate with platform engineers, security engineer, cloud architects and delivery teams specializing in Ansible, Terraform, and Python to manage server configuration for modern cloud solutions. The role is expected to demonstrate their expertise within a DevOps framework and use cloud service providers like Amazon Web Services, including EKS. Tasks: Develop software assets in the areas of test and deployment automation, configuration and integration of CI-CD pipeline with existing on-prem applications migrating to the cloud. Create software assets to automate service delivery for projects. Build tools and capabilities to automate activities in support of our cloud migration project execution. Provide DevOps support to project teams. Lead platform and DevOps engineers and bring strong DevOps experience and influence transformation. Hands on DevOps engineer, who architects solution and can clearly articulate at leadership and peer level. Required: 11-15 years experience of infrastructure engineer with a hands-on experience in the following: Scripting and process automation experience required. Extensive knowledge of Java/J2EE methodology and frameworks. Extensive UNIX AIX or Linux and scripting experience. 5+ years of experience working in Linux environments. 5+ years supporting production enterprise applications. Experience with large distributed, highly available environments. Experience with container technologies. Experience with declarative infrastructure as code tools, including Terraform, and configuration management tools, such as Ansible. Experience with GitOps and CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, ArgoCD, etc. Experience with cloud deployments and cluster resource management with cloud platforms, including monitoring systems, logging, and security implementation.
