Service Technician

As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for operating commercial, residential and light industrial water treatment systems and performing scheduled preventive maintenance as required.

Duties and responsibilities include locating sources of problems by observing and testing systems operation, removing defective parts by dismantling equipment, maintaining equipment, parts, and supplies on truck, providing system information to customers, maintaining technical knowledge, maintaining a safe and clean working environment, contributing to team effort, ensuring service vehicle is clean, safe and in proper operation condition, communicating with office staff frequently, using handheld devices for data entry, schedule maintenance, etc., and performing other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience, certificates, licenses and registrations required: valid driver's license, basic plumbing and electrical experience, mechanically inclined, willing to work a full-time schedule and be on-call.

Physical demands and work environment include standing, walking, sitting, utilizing hand and finger dexterity, talking or hearing, climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling or crawling, exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, work near moving mechanical parts, work in high, precarious places, exposure to outside weather conditions, exposure to extreme heat or cold, lifting and/or moving up to 100 pounds, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus, and working in confined spaces.

Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
