Give us a call opt 1 Job Details: Shift: 12H Nights Total Weekly Hours: 36 Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, NRP, PALS, TNCC Trauma Level: Facility Specific Job Notes: Experience and Qualifications Required: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ER of equivalent size - Facility prefers candidates with 5-8 years of experience - Level II or III trauma experience - Recent ER Travel experience (within the past 6-8 months preferred) - Previous charge experience - Preferred experience with Cerner charting system Certifications Required: - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) - BLS (Basic Life Support) - PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) - NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) - NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Skills Required: - Management of various conditions and procedures such as abdominal pain, acute psychosis, asthma, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, chest tube insertion/management, drug overdose, emergency medications, gunshot wounds, head injury, hyperglycemia, identification/reporting neglect or abuse, infection control, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), dysrhythmia management and interpretation, intubation, isolation precautions/PPE, IV vasopressors, splints management/applying, multisystem organ dysfunction/failure management, managing violent behavior, mental/behavioral health conditions, near drowning, 12 lead EKG/ECG obtainment, poison ingestion, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, psychiatric hold, respiratory infection, seizures, sickle cell crisis, skin disorders, spinal cord injury, IV starting and maintaining, suicidal patient management, traumatic amputation, triage, urinary tract infection.
