Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to obstetric patients within a 2-suite OB department that performs approximately 80 deliveries per year, utilizing a mother-baby couplet care model.
• Attend and support C-sections as needed, serving as the circulating RN responsible for the mother, alongside a Provider, CRNA, Surgical Tech, and OR RN.
• Operate and document using OB Trace View for clinical documentation and Philips ultrasound equipment; utilize Hugs Infant Security Tag system.
• Float to the Medical-Surgical (Patient Care Unit) when OB census is low.
• Participate in self-scheduling on a rotational basis, subject to scheduling committee review and approval; must be available to work every third weekend.
• Attend facility orientation, which includes three days of classroom instruction and one precepted shift, held on a recurring Tuesday schedule.

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required.
• Ability to float to a Medical-Surgical unit as needed.
• Must have reliable personal transportation, as ride-share services are not available in the area.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with OB Trace View documentation systems.
• Experience working in a low-volume or critical access OB setting.
• Comfort operating independently as the sole OB RN on shift.
