Such requirements may include, but are not limited to, completion of a customer-provided weapons qualification program, successful completion of customer-directed medical screening, and fulfillment of any additional training, certifications, or evaluations as required by the customer.ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to lead and support design, bid, and execution of mechanical systems work within a facilities operations and maintenance environment. This role requires technical expertise, field coordination, and project ownership from concept through completion.Design Work:Develop and review mechanical system designs (HVAC, piping, plumbing, and related infrastructure)Perform load calculations, equipment sizing, and system layouts using AutoCAD/Revit and relevant softwareEnsure all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and sustainability goalsBid Work:Create scopes of work, technical specifications, and detailed bid packagesEvaluate contractor proposals and assist with bid selection and procurement strategyParticipate in pre-bid meetings and respond to RFIs as neededRun Work (Execution & Oversight):Provide technical oversight during construction, repair, or retrofit projectsCoordinate closely with contractors, field technicians, and stakeholdersPerform site inspections, submittal reviews, punch lists, and ensure project quality and complianceMonitor schedules and budgets, resolving issues to maintain project delivery standardsFacilities Support:Provide engineering support for ongoing operations, preventive maintenance planning, and system troubleshootingCollaborate with facilities managers and maintenance teams to identify system upgrades or lifecycle replacementsMaintain as-built documentation and contribute to asset management systemsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, or a related engineering discipline7+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design, project execution, or facilities engineering Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; Active TS/SCI clearance required to start.
