Outside Sales Account Manager – East Michigan

Bob Brooks Computer Sales (BBCS) is looking for a motivated sales professional to help us continue growing our business throughout the east side of Michigan.

BBCS has been serving Michigan businesses since 1975. We work with customers ranging from manufacturing and distribution facilities to schools, municipalities, healthcare organizations, and other businesses. Our solutions include business printing, barcode and label printing, mobile computers and scanners, labels and supplies, managed print programs, and service.

This is a full-time, hybrid outside sales position covering the east side of Michigan. Most day-to-day work will be performed from the candidate’s home office or in the field meeting with customers and prospects. Training and occasional company meetings will take place at our corporate office in Norton Shores, Michigan .

What You’ll Be Doing

• Prospect for and develop new business throughout East Michigan
• Build relationships with IT, purchasing, operations, manufacturing, and other decision-makers
• Meet with customers onsite to understand their needs and recommend the right solutions
• Sell business printers, industrial barcode and label printers, mobile computers, scanners, labels, supplies, service, and related solutions
• Develop opportunities with leading manufacturers including Brother, Epson, Zebra, Honeywell, SATO, and others
• Prepare quotes and proposals and follow opportunities through the sales process
• Work closely with the BBCS sales and service teams, as well as our manufacturer partners, to support customers
• Grow existing accounts by identifying additional opportunities and solutions
• Maintain regular communication and follow-up with customers and prospects
• Manage your territory and daily schedule primarily from your home office

What We’re Looking For

• Previous B2B sales or account management experience preferred
• Experience selling technology, printing, barcode/AIDC, manufacturing solutions, or related products is a plus, but not required
• Comfortable prospecting and developing new customer relationships
• Self-motivated and able to manage a sales territory independently
• Strong communication and follow-up skills
• Comfortable traveling throughout East Michigan to meet with customers
• Ability to travel to our Norton Shores corporate office for training and occasional meetings
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Someone who wants to build relationships and grow with a small, established Michigan company
