Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol in West Hazleton, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, support access control, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, team-focused culture. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour

• Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)
  Candidates must demonstrate familiarity with access control systems and badge management. This includes understanding how to use identification badges for secure access to facilities.

• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)
  Candidates should possess basic computer skills and be comfortable using a computer or tablet for daily tasks. Proficiency in common software applications is preferred.

• CPR Certification (B205)
  Candidates are required to obtain CPR certification. Allied Universal offers free training sessions for CPR certification, which candidates are encouraged to complete prior after their start date.

• Loss Prevention (B210)
  Candidates must have a basic understanding of loss prevention strategies and practices. This includes knowledge of theft prevention techniques and the ability to identify potential security risks.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, spills, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific reporting and response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, operational areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access control points, verify credentials as required, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Report hazards, unusual conditions, damaged equipment, and security-related concerns to the appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
