Reporting to the VP of Project Development & Delivery, the Senior Data Center Development Engineer role sits at the center of site origination, master planning, and front-end engineering—turning early-stage opportunities into build-ready projects. Job Type: Full-Time | Location: Dallas / Fort Worth, TX | Department: Construction | Reporting to: Vice President Project Development and Delivery | Work Location Type: Onsite Job Requirements ~10+ years in data center, mission-critical, or large-scale infrastructure design/development Background in engineering or architecture Experience with campus master planning and front-end design Strong understanding of data center systems, constructability, and design standards Ability to lead consultants and manage cross-functional stakeholders Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Proficiency with tools like AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project Job Responsibilities Lead site master planning and conceptual design for new data center campuses Drive front-end engineering to ensure designs are scalable, buildable, and operationally efficient Translate development opportunities into technically sound, execution-ready plans Partner across development, engineering, innovation, and construction teams Manage architectural and engineering consultants from concept through detailed design Ensure alignment with IREN’s design roadmap, codes, and regulatory requirements Support site due diligence, feasibility studies, and design standardization efforts Facilitate smooth handover from development to delivery Job Benefits At IREN, we offer a highly competitive compensation package that includes base salary, annual performance incentives, and opportunities to build long-term wealth through equity programs.
