Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to establish individualized treatment plans that address unique mental health needs.
- Facilitate individual therapy sessions and, where applicable, family, marriage, or group counseling meetings, drawing from your specific areas of expertise.
- Administer mental health screenings and assessments to accurately identify treatment needs for various client populations.
- Maintain thorough documentation of client interactions, treatment approaches, and progress in compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
- Collaborate with other mental health professionals to provide a unified approach to patient care, and participate in ongoing training or clinical discussions.
- Engage in community outreach initiatives, as necessary, to improve awareness and access to mental health resources.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned, contributing to the overall mission and goals of Mental Oasis Counseling Therapy.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will primarily work with individuals experiencing a variety of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. Our practice also focuses on co-occurring disorders and substance abuse treatment, allowing you to help clients navigate complex issues that may affect their mental well-being. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with children, adolescents, couples, and families, fostering interpersonal connections that can lead to transformative healing experiences.
Qualifications
- A Master’s or Doctoral degree in a relevant field, leading to licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
- Active and valid licensure as required by Washington State, ensuring you meet all professional standards for practice.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience providing mental health counseling to adults and children, with a focus on individual, group, and family therapy approaches.
- Hands-on experience with clients facing mental and behavioral health challenges, and specifically with treatment for co-occurring disorders.
- A solid understanding of contemporary counseling techniques and trends that may inform your practice.
- Experience working with diverse populations, demonstrating cultural competence in therapeutic practices.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 100,000 to 105,000 yearly , commensurate with experience and qualifications.
