Aequor Technologies LLC is hiring an experienced QA Senior Technician for our Client in San Diego, CA. You'll perform dimensional inspections on machined and molded components made both in-house and by outside suppliers, working from engineering drawings and applicable external standards. You'll report to the QA Inspection Supervisor(s) and Quality Management.

What You'll Do

• Perform moderate to complex first article, in-process (on-line), and final dimensional inspections using engineering drawings, procedures, and external standards.
• Use inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, thread gauges, optical comparators, concentricity gauges, and height and depth gauges .
• Perform receiving inspections of raw materials and component parts, including with custom equipment and programmable inspection machines .
• Maintain inspection equipment, including Vertex and Vector systems.
• Carry out dimensional, visual, functional, and attribute inspections required by approved validation protocols, engineering study plans, and other controlled inspection plans.
• Record raw inspection data accurately and in real time in approved forms or controlled electronic records, without interpreting or changing acceptance criteria.
• Prepare first article reports, discrepant material reports, and QA history log sheets , and compile complete, traceable inspection records.
• Generate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for out-of-spec product, including sort, reprocess, and rework instructions when needed.
• Issue Quality Hold documents, contain affected product, and coordinate the movement, control, and disposition of product under investigation.
• Maintain control of products on hold, and coordinate shipment of finished-goods scrap for destruction.
• Follow written procedures and specifications, and flag documents that need updates or corrections to QA Management.
• Work with Manufacturing, Materials, Engineering, and other teams to improve the quality of product coming into QA and reduce rejections.
• Publish daily quality reports and handle data entry and procedure changes in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook .
• Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of applicable experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Solid understanding of engineering drawings and GD&T (required).
• Hands-on experience with measuring devices (micrometers, calipers, comparators, thread gauges, go/no-go and custom gauges) and test instruments ( pull and torque testers ).
• Working knowledge of sampling techniques (e.g., ANSI Z1.4) , Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) , and other required regulatory standards.
• Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and accurate, traceable raw-data recording.
• Experience with sample identification, traceability, segregation, and status control.
• Knowledge of calibration and verification requirements, including confirming equipment status before use.
• The ability to spot, document, and promptly escalate deviations, unexpected results, equipment issues, and out-of-spec conditions.
• The ability to complete technical reports and inspection records accurately with minimal direction.

Strongly Preferred

• Experience in an ISO-certified and/or regulated industry environment.
