Job Overview – Licensed Practical Nurse (Orthopedic Clinic) Compensation: $40 – $42/hour Location: Bergen County, NJ Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (In-Office) TAG MedStaffing is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (Orthopedic Clinic) in Bergen County, NJ for our client, supporting patient care, preoperative coordination, and clinical support within an outpatient orthopedic setting. This temporary role focuses on patient education, medication reconciliation, and assisting with pre and post-procedure care while collaborating closely with clinical staff. The position requires travel between nearby office locations and offers the opportunity to work in a structured, patient-focused environment. Responsibilities as the Licensed Practical Nurse (Orthopedic Clinic): Patient Care: Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse, ensuring safe and effective treatment delivery. Clinical Assistance: Support providers with patient assessments, vital signs, and documentation in a clinical setting. Medication Management: Perform medication reconciliation and provide patient education on prescriptions and care plans. Preoperative and Postoperative Care: Educate patients on procedures and assist with post-procedure monitoring and recovery. Patient Coordination: Communicate with patients and caregivers to ensure continuity of care and address questions. Qualifications for the Licensed Practical Nurse (Orthopedic Clinic): Education: Completion of an accredited practical nursing program is required. Licensure: Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and BLS certification are required. Experience: 5+ years of clinical experience in a medical office or outpatient setting is required. Industry Knowledge: Experience in orthopedic care and preoperative processes is preferred. Technical Skills: Proficiency in patient documentation, medication reconciliation, and clinical workflows is required. Skills & Attributes: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide patient-focused care in a fast-paced environment are required.
