Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

An exceptional opportunity exists for a skilled Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to join a dynamic healthcare team. The selected candidate will provide comprehensive care for patients within the nephrology unit, delivering quality nursing interventions and support.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care and monitor patients' conditions, using telemetry as needed.
• Perform various medical procedures, including IV starts, to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient observations and treatments.
• Educate patients and their families about health management and treatment plans.

Schedule and Assignment

This assignment requires a commitment of 13 weeks, with the possibility of extension. Shifts will be scheduled for 3 days per week, 12 hours per shift, during daytime hours. Requires the ability to work every other weekend and accommodate minimal to no requests for time off.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience is required.
• Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
• Ability to handle a patient ratio of 1:6 or 1:7.
• Proficiency in intermediate level nursing skills.

Attire

Professional attire required: Royal blue scrubs (not provided).

Additional Information

Travelers within 30 miles of the unit are not eligible for this assignment. For those traveling from 31-50 miles, an adjustment to the bill rate will be applied.
