Work with a leading global independent private equity fund administrator managing over $650 billion in private capital assets.Fund Accounting Director Key Responsibilities & Duties Direct daily accounting and fund administration for multiple investment sponsors, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Prepare and review workpapers, financial statements, investor allocations, and accruals with precision and attention to detail. Maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and collaboration with executive-level contacts. Lead and mentor a team of Staff Accountants, fostering professional development and operational excellence. Oversee the setup of client fund deliverables, including capital calls, distributions, financial statements, and waterfall models. Manage special projects and provide solutions to complex accounting challenges as needed. Ensure compliance with USGAAP reporting standards for investment funds and companies. Collaborate with auditors, lawyers, and banking personnel to maintain operational integrity and client satisfaction.Fund Accounting Director Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics required; advanced knowledge of private equity fund accounting preferred. Minimum of 8 years of fund accounting experience, with 5 years in a supervisory role. Expertise in capital calls, distributions, waterfall models, and partnership agreements. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; advanced technical and business acumen. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment. Superior problem-solving and decision-making skills; ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines. Advanced experience with mezzanine, credit, and loan origination investments preferred. Strong leadership and management skills, with a focus on team development and operational excellence.
