Business Development Account Executive

We're building infrastructure for modern healthcare delivery. Traditional healthcare is plagued with outdated, monolithic EHRs designed to maximize billing outcomes. Patient outcomes and provider experiences have been afterthoughts, as these systems have bolted on non-API-first solutions. None of this is built for how clinically excellent healthcare is actually delivered—longitudinally and collaboratively, with the patient at the center. Healthie is the world's leading API-first, ONC-Certified EHR for healthcare delivery outside of the hospital. We provide the powerful infrastructure every scaling organization needs—EHR, scheduling, patient engagement, billing, and more—all accessible via modern APIs and a white-labeled UI. Our platform makes it simple for organizations of any size to launch, customize, and scale their care delivery models without reinventing the wheel. Today, over 2 billion API calls are made to Healthie every month, as thousands of organizations—working with more than 20 million patients in total—rely on Healthie to deliver clinically excellent healthcare in over 35 specialties, from preventative medicine to complex chronic care management. We are hiring a Business Development Account Executive to serve as the outbound engine of Healthie's enterprise sales motion. As a BD AE, you'll own top-of-funnel pipeline generation across Healthie's core ICP segments—digital health startups and emerging care delivery organizations in behavioral health, women's health, nutrition, GLP-1/metabolic care and beyond. You'll identify, engage, and qualify prospective enterprise customers, and partner closely with our Senior Account Executives (SAEs) to ensure seamless, high-quality handoffs that convert into closed revenue. You'll collaborate daily with our SAE team, RevOps, and Marketing to sharpen outreach strategy, refine messaging, and build a repeatable pipeline engine. On occasion, you may carry a Group or Group+ API opportunity to close if it originates from your outreach and capacity allows. This role is ideal for someone who is energized by both the hunt and the craft—who loves building relationships from scratch, thrives in a fast-moving healthtech environment, and is excited by the opportunity to shape how a category-defining platform reaches the market. You bring sharp instincts, clear communication, and a genuine passion for improving how healthcare is delivered.

This is a full-time, hybrid position based in our NYC HQ. The base salary for this role is $75,000 to $85,000 per year + annual company bonus and benefits. On-Target Earnings (OTE): $125,000 to $135,000 which includes base and commissions. Commission: Industry-standard structure based on sales qualified opportunities (meeting held and Qualifying pipeline generated). BD AEs will be equipped with leads lists, tooling, and enablement needed to succeed. U.S. work authorization is required and Healthie does not provide sponsorship.

You have 2–4 years of experience in outbound sales or business development, ideally within healthtech, digital health, or enterprise SaaS. You excel at multi-channel prospecting—cold outreach, email sequencing, LinkedIn, and phone—and know how to break through the noise. You have a strong grasp of the digital health landscape and can credibly speak to the challenges facing operators building virtual-first care programs. You collaborate seamlessly with SAEs, RevOps, and Marketing to align on ICP, messaging, and pipeline quality standards. You're confident engaging senior decision-makers—VP Sales, COO, VPs of Success, Product and RevOps—and can earn trust quickly in early conversations. You lead with empathy and influence—your strong interpersonal skills make you someone people want to work with and learn from. You are a trusted team player with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves and dig into challenges. You are resilient and results-oriented, with a strong bias toward execution and a determination to keep pipeline moving even when faced with obstacles. You care deeply about healthcare and are energized by working on products that improve patient experiences and outcomes. You own outbound pipeline generation across Healthie's enterprise ICP, with a focus on digital health organizations in behavioral health, women's health, nutrition, and GLP-1/metabolic care. You conduct high-volume, high-quality outreach across email, phone, and LinkedIn to engage prospects and generate qualified meetings for the SAE team. You develop and maintain a deep understanding of Healthie's platform, competitive positioning, and ICP pain points to drive relevant, resonant outreach. You build and maintain organized pipeline hygiene in Apollo/Salesforce, logging all activity and keeping deal stages current. You proactively participate in the handoff process—joining initial discovery calls with SAEs to ensure a warm, informed transition before moving off the deal. You create a repeatable outreach process, contributing to playbooks, sequence improvements, and ICP learnings that elevate the broader BD team.
