Registered Respiratory Therapist Join the Respiratory Team at BJC Healthcare's Christian Hospital. Shift Information: PRN Nights (3 shifts per 6‑week period) required, 6:45 pm – 7:15 am. Overview Christian Hospital is a healthcare facility committed to excellence in patient care and professional development. Responsibilities Provides direct patient care activities related to respiratory care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Applies advanced respiratory expertise and scientific knowledge, serving as a resource to the patient care team. Ensures patient safety and compliance with quality and regulatory requirements. Communicates effectively through documentation, handoff, and collaboration with the healthcare team. Provides education and training on respiratory therapy treatments and procedures to patients, families, students, new employees, and team members. Demonstrates advanced clinical and critical care skills, supporting roles such as ECMO support, mechanical ventilator support, bronchoscopies, sleep lab, labor and delivery, cardiopulmonary and circulatory rehabilitation, and Basic Life Support (BLS). Performs diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory procedures according to established standards, procedures, guidelines, and policies. Minimum Requirements Education: Associate or CoARC Accredited Program – Respiratory Therapy. Experience: No experience required; Supervisor experience not required. Licenses & Certifications: Basic Cardiovascular Life Support (BLS), Respiratory Care Practitioner, RRT. Preferred Requirements Education: Bachelor's Degree.
