Hospitalist Physician Assistant

Nocturnist Hospitalist NP/PA opening in NY Located in Oneonta, NY Full-Time, PermanentA progressive academic health system in central New York is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide Nocturnist Hospitalist coverage at A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta. This role offers a 7-on/7-off style block schedule, strong in-house Emergency Medicine support, EPIC EMR, competitive compensation, and a sign-on bonus.

• Nocturnist Hospitalist role at A.O. Fox Hospital
• Community hospital licensed for 53 med/surg beds
• 155 shifts annually, with opportunity for up to 187 shifts per year
• Block schedule, typically 7 days on / 7 days off
• 12-hour shifts: 8:00 PM - 8:00 AM
• Responsible for admissions from the ED and nearby hospitals, transfer calls, and inpatient cross-coverage
• Attend codes and rapid responses with direct 24/7 in-house board-certified Emergency Medicine physician support
• Telephone back-up from hospitalist physicians
• Procedural skills preferred, but not required
• Fully integrated EPIC EMR throughout the network
• Subspecialty support includes Cardiology, General Surgery, Infectious Disease, Pulmonary, Orthopedics, and telemedicine services
• Major teaching affiliate of Columbia University
Compensation & Recruitment Package:
• Salary range: $150,000 - $180,000 , depending on number of shifts worked per year
• Sign-on bonus up to $50,000
Job Qualifications:
• National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• NYS Licensure
• Previous inpatient experience preferred
• DEA Required
• Must be comfortable working independently in a nocturnist setting
