Temporary Kitchen Steward – MaryJane’s Diner, Hard Rock Hotel San Diego (Comic‑Con Week) Hard Rock Hotel San Diego is a high‑energy, music‑driven hospitality venue located in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter. This temporary position is available during the July Comic‑Con International event. About the Role As a Temporary Kitchen Steward, you will be the behind‑the‑scenes backbone that keeps MaryJane’s kitchen spotless, organized, and running smoothly during the busiest week of the year. You’ll support the culinary team by maintaining cleanliness, washing dishes and equipment, and ensuring every plate leaves the kitchen ready to wow our Comic‑Con guests. Key Responsibilities Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment quickly and efficiently. Maintain clean and organized dish pit and back‑of‑house areas at all times. Assist with trash removal and recycling, keeping all areas safe and clutter‑free. Restock and organize cleaning supplies and chemicals as needed. Support the kitchen and service team by stepping in wherever needed to keep the operation flowing smoothly. Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards. Qualifications Previous stewarding, dishwashing, or back‑of‑house experience (preferred but not required). Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment and love working behind the scenes. Dependable, positive, and a team player willing to help wherever needed. Capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds. Available for full‑time, flexible shifts during Comic‑Con week, including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
